Loving The Magic Of Blown Glass |

I was reading a book about how human beings are wired to love beautiful things and it immediately made me think of blown glass. Since I was a little kid, I always thought there was something very ethereal about blown glass which gave it an aura of mystical magic. The shapes and colors of blown glass, to me, were proof that somewhere out there was a world full of fantasy and adventure like the stories my mom used to read to me. I had no good logical reason to believe this, it was just a feeling that would spring from the deepest levels of my being whenever my eyes absorbed the beauty of blown glass. To this day I get the same feelings whenever I’m presented with blown glass, but now, instead of just admiring the beauty of blown glass, I can take it home with me and add to my collection. My favorite place to find blown glass is online, because there more variety and styles there than anywhere else and I can see hundreds even thousands of these mystical pieces in very short time. After I add a new piece of blown glass to my collection, I can stare at for hours and feel like I’ve gone to a better place—way cool.
