hand blown glass, blown glass

My garden is full of spring blooming flowers. Just in time for Easter I have beautiful purple and yellow irises, burnt orange and yellow crocuses and bright yellow tulips. I just love the aroma these fresh blooms emit and enjoy hanging out in the garden. The weeds have also taken root so I spent some time this past weekend getting rid of them.

While I was in the garden I cut some of those fresh flowers and then placed them in one of my many hand blown glass vases. I sat it prominently on my kitchen table. I liked it so much I went out and got more flowers for another hand blown glass vase and put it in my office where I can see and smell it as I work.

It has been a cold, nasty winter and I am ready for the warmer weather. These annual flowers make it clear that spring has truly sprung where I live. I hope to keep the flowers coming and using all of my hand blown glass vase before all is said and done. Only about a third of the plants are in bloom now. There appears to be a good amount of brilliant spring color yet to come!
