Fragile Hand Blown Glass Ornaments |

Don't you love the look of hand blown glass ornaments? I sure do, although they are rather fragile and it is important to keep the small kids and animals under tow when the Christmas tree is decorated with them. I remember my grandmother's beautifully decorated holiday trees. Every year she added more of those hand blown glass ornaments. The way they shimmered against the colored lights created a wonderful holiday feeling of warmth.
We were warned as children to respect the decorated tree and that there was to be no rough housing in grandma's living room. We did very well and you never so such well behaved children sit with their hands in their laps looking at that tree in awe.
Some but not all of those hand blown glass ornaments are around today. The survivors have been shared between all the grandkids. I place mine in the upper part of the tree to avoid any unnecessary jolting by my kids or dogs. I get a pleasant feeling while decorating the tree with these beautiful hand blown glass ornaments. |
