All of the standard stuff was there but the plain walls really started to get to me. I have since bought a couple pictures, hung up some old pieces of memorabilia that were stored in the closet, bought some fish and am ready to find a deal on blown glass. The way light can hit hand blown glass, reflect and project vivid color is really cool to me.

I was sold on this type of decorative art ever since my dad started buying more and more pieces for his own house. He even went as far as taking a class on how to create hand blown glass. The results were a couple decent looking deep red and blue vases now sitting on the dresser in a guest room. In stores, blown glass sells for a premium but I have found a couple great websites, which sell new and used pieces of Murano glass. It is the only way to go for a guy just making ends meat.
