murano, blown glassI've been looking for a gift for my daughter's teacher, and have searched the internet for something special.  This teacher has gone above and beyond the call of duty for any teacher.  She is a really special person and teacher, so the gift has to be perfect.  I wanted something that would symbolize a teacher, so I decided it would have to be something with an apple.  Apples are known as a symbol for teachers, and many teacher thank-you gifts are in the shape of an apple.

I was browsing the internet the other day when I came across something that really caught my eye.  The company that owns the website is My Glass Beautiful, and their site is http://www.myglassbeautiful.com/.  I found an apple paperweight, the Eve's Apple - Heavy Clear Cased Murano, that is hand blown Murano glass.  I was blown away by the beauty of this piece of hand blown glass by Murano.  Murano is internationally known for its blown glass, they have been making it there in the small island near Italy for centuries.  According to the online shop, this apple is a beautifully cased clear glass apple with a red center suspended from the applied stem and leaf.  I find it to be a real eye pleasing piece of glass by Murano.  I think that my daughter's teacher would absolutely love to have this piece of Murano glass sitting on her desk.  The red really pops in this apple, and the green sets it off wonderfully. The price is right too, making my budget very happy.
