murano, hand blown glass


     Murano hand blown glass is very beautiful. My sister has been collecting Murano glass jewelry ever since she was just a wee lass. Actually she has been collecting all kinds of different things, but the glass is her most prized and cherished. I remember when I used to play with her collection and she would get so darn mad at me. She recently sold one of those pieces for several thousand dollars. Just think, I could have broke it! I also checked out the history behind the beautiful glass, and I must say it goes back about 1100 years. Such history and pedigree help it with its collectability. I have a few pieces that my sister has given me over the years, and my wife is starting to get into these glass figurines as well. Maybe we will travel to Italy someday and actually see how it is all made. I wonder if my sister would like to go? Well, I know she would because she has done nothing but talk about the country since she was a child. Yes I think we will all go, my treat.
