Collecting Hand Blown Glass Clowns |

I was at my neighbors house the other day for a birthday party. Their daughter had turned three. The theme of the party revolved around castles and princesses. Everything was pink and pretty. There was a short break in the wet winter weather and the outside party went off well.
I had noticed when walking through the house a collection of hand blown glass clowns. They were strategically placed in a glass curio cabinet. The brilliant colors caught my attention. As I looked more closely the delicacy of the hand blown glass clowns was phenomenal. I was really impressed with the faces and different body styles of those pieces of art.
My neighbor said that she had been collecting them since she was a little girl. There wasn't a lot of time to spend discussing the hand blown glass clowns but she did tell me about a couple of them. She clearly recalled her father giving her one on her sixteenth birthday and then her husband giving her another when they got engaged. That collection of hand blown glass clowns was very special to her indeed! |
