My Majolica pottery collection is growing. I have several pieces now since my husband surprised me with another one for my recent birthday. I love the look of Majolica. The colors blend perfectly with my living room setting. Just looking at the pieces in the special hutch I have just for them gives me a feeling of comfort and joy.
 
I got my first piece of Majolica pottery from my mother. She had just the one piece. It was a simple vase and I always admired it as I grew up. My mother displayed her piece of Majolica pottery in an enclosed bevel glass doored curio cabinet. It was surrounded by other special pieces of artwork my mother collected.

When my mother passed away my brother took the beautiful curio cabinet and I became the proud owner of my mother's piece of Majolica pottery. Today, I have three pieces, two of my own and the third is that vase of my mother's. I don't know where my collection will go from here but I sure am delighted with what I have now!
