Blown Glass Heart
When I was 16 I attended a hobby class to learn how to make blown glass. During that time I made a heart shaped blown glass pendant. It was very beautiful and very special to me. I had decided that I would
keep that pendant safe and give it to the girl who I truly loved. I had girlfriends in college, but none of them were special enough.
I started a job, got busy and one day, I fell in love with a girl I worked with. She was so different from all the other girls I had ever known. She was so honest, so real and I wanted to spend my life with her. I asked her to marry me and she said yes. On our wedding night, I gave her that blown glass pendant as a wedding gift. She loved it. Last week we celebrated our 25th anniversary. She wore that pendant at the party. That pendant has seen a lot of difficulties, challenges and celebrations. But through all of it, it has seen a lot of love. I’m so glad I waited for the right girl to give that blown glass pendant to.
