Hand Blown Glass
When I started creating my own jewelry last year, I started with sterling silver and hand blown glass beads to make my creations. It started as a hobby to create glass jewelry for myself, but it didn’t take long and everyone wanted me to create hand blown glass jewelry creations for them as well. It took me by surprise that anyone would want to actually wear my jewelry, much less actually want to buy it, so I started creating designs based on the individuality of each person who would be wearing the jewelry and things kind of took off from there.
I love the colors and beauty of Murano glass jewelry, and the fact that it can be worn with everything. I don’t create as much now as I did in the beginning, but when I order hand blown glass beads for my creations, I usually find myself inspired and ready to create something the moment I have the new glass beads in my hands. With the holiday season just around the corner, I have a few ideas to create holiday pieces for some of my closest friends that I think they’ll love.
