blown glass, hand blown glassSomething I can't have enough of in my home is hand blown glass. I just think it is so beautiful. I've started buying it online now because it's a lot less expensive than it is in the local retail stores that specialize in high end hand blown glass. In fact, I ordered this vase today. I think it will look stunning on the fireplace mantle with daffodils in it in the springtime or cut pine boughs and holly for Christmas. In the spring I plant a cutting garden full of flowers so I can bring them in and enjoy the beauty of fresh flowers all summer long. The blown glasses showcase the flowers beautifully, and the thing I like about the clear vases is that I know exactly what the water level is so the flowers don't go dry. It's wonderful having a cabinet full of hand blown glass vases. I even like to give them as gifts. There isn't anyone I know who doesn't enjoy having flowers in the house, so it's a foolproof gift too. I think it's a nice touch to bring a bouquet of flowers along when giving vases and if I know what the person's favorite is, I'll select those. blown glass, hand blown glass
