Hand Blown Glass So Beautiful |

Ever since I've been young, I've really admired hand blown glass objects and have many of them for my table, as vases for the flowers, wine glasses, bowls, and other beautiful hand blown glass art for the home. I found this interesting vase/decanter online and thought it would make a perfect gift for my mom who has quite the cutting garden in the spring. She raises some of the most beautiful flowers and since we live in a southern state, spring is when our flowers do the best. I think she would really enjoy filling this Bulbous Shaped Decanter with flowers and greens from the yard, or she could use it as it was intended, as a decanter.
She instilled in me a deep love of hand blown glass and come to think of it, I've never given her any, so this decanter might be perfect for her. She would really enjoy having it and I haven't sent her a gift for no reason for a while. I find a lot of things online and I ran across a website that has many terrific hand blown glass items that are new and used. The prices on the used ones are fantastic, and unless it's cracked or chipped, there's no reason not to buy used hand blown glass. The site is My Glass Beautiful located at www.myglassbeautiful.com, appropriately named for the contents it sells.
They have a lot of interesting glass objects on their site and I know as time goes by, I'll be going back to look for merchandise there. I could find some collectibles from time to time. As an avid watcher of Antiques Roadshow, I know how valuable some older glass objects can be. I watch the show religiously and have found that I'm a much more astute shopper now than I used to be when it comes to buying gently used merchandise.
The nice thing about collecting glass is the huge variety of color and texture that it comes in. It can be clear, colored, smooth, rough, functional, decorative, silly, inexpensive or bank busting. So when I found the website, My Glass Beautiful, I bookmarked it because I'll go back there often looking for sleepers that might grow in value over time or are already valuable but the sellers are unaware of the value of their objects. Whether or not the investment will appreciate is mostly irrelevant because I enjoy buying glass objects for their beauty and functionality.
