Collectors of hand blown glass have long favored murano hand blown glass for their collections. First produced in the eighth century in Venice, Italy the leaders of Venice feared the thriving hand blown glass industry in venice was a potential fire hazard to the mainly wooden structures of the city so they forced these blown glass maker's to relocate to the island of Murano. This is where murano glass got the name we know it by in modern times. I know little about murano hand blown glass so I went online to do a search for websites selling this highly sought after form of art. I found many sites to my surprise featuring murano glass of all types including murano glass jewelry, vases, figurines, and much more. My mom collects hand blow glass produced by a local company who has been in business for over a century so I decided to browse the huge selection of murano glass looking for a piece she might like for her glass collection. I found the piece pictured here on a great site selling all the different types of murano glass at fair prices.
murano, blown glass   I think this is a very beautiful hand made glass vase my mom would enjoy adding to her collection so I will be buying it as a Christmas present for her. According to the website this is a piece of Pre-owned Murano Glass. Sure looks new to me but since I really like the color of the vase along with the really cool color and shape of the handles I will purchase this piece of murano glass anyway. I found this vase on My Glass Beautiful located at www.myglassbeautiful.com. During my research on murano glass I learned there are many fakes and spin-offs of the true, original murano glass products. I checked out the site I am ordering from and they sell only the true murano, and after a email contact they assured me if I had any further questions to please give them a call as they would provide references if I wished. Also all their murano  glass pieces come with a money back policy so I feel comfortable buying from this website. They have a huge selection and all the pieces are so original and beautiful it is not easy to make a selection but I think for my mom's first piece of murano hand blown glass this vase will do just fine.
