Not too long ago my sister took me to a hand blown glass show and man was it impressive. One of my sister’s friends is an expert on hand blown glass and he invited her to the show. The moment we walked into that room we were completely surrounded by pieces of hand blown glass that resembled works of arts from the legends of fairy tales. I mean, the shapes and colors that these hand blown glass artists could create were dazzling my eyes and touching my soul. It was even more amazing to see them create their art right in front of our eyes. They would create all kids of shapes that initially made no sense to my eyes, but out of nowhere somehow a beautiful shape would emerge. Sometimes it was an abstract shape and other times it would be hand blown glass in the shape of a flower or a mystical creature. We were so impressed with all the hand blown works that once we arrived home, we went looking for a hand blown glass piece to acquire for my sister’s house and we were lucky to find a gorgeous piece that matched her living room perfectly. Every time I go visit her and look at her hand blown piece I am still filled with the same awe of that day.
