There is one hobby I love, and that hobby is collecting murano hand blown glass. These are by far some of the most beautiful hand blow glass pieces I have ever encountered. There are so many styles and colors, and these are a type of hand blown glass collectibles that will only increase in value through the years.
Recently, I discovered a wonderful ecommerce site that sells both new and previously owned murano blown glass pieces. It is called My Glass Beautiful located at http://www.myglassbeautiful.com. While shopping there I found a lovely piece of Pre-owned Murano blown glass. It was a piece I had been looking for at the local antique stores. When I found it online at this store, it was priced at least a 25% lower price. I was thrilled, and of course I ordered it at once.
Finding other pieces of murano hand blown glass has been an exciting experience. I check at least once a week, and I am constantly finding outstanding values. This is one internet store that is well worth the Bookmark.
When I first started collecting hand blown glass, I found so many pieces. There was even murano glass jewelry as well as blown glass articles ranging from ash trays, vases, candy holders, and even animals. The hobby was not intended to become so extensive; but, I fell in love with the beauty of the art of hand blown glass, and I simply could not resist the finds of high end, well-made, beautifully developed pieces. I started my collection about ten years ago, and I now have about 48 pieces. I have enjoyed using the pieces to decorate my home, my office and to give as gifts to special people. This type of blown glass makes an excellent piece to someone getting married, or as a house-warming gift.
Through the years, I have become an moderate expert on murano hand blown glass, and I am also in love with the beautifully made pieces exported from other countries. However, those finds are often too expensive for my budget.
Finding a great internet store that carries such high quality merchandise as the murano hand blown glass has been a true blessing. At this time with out economy at such a low ebb, I am still able to purchase occasional pieces and add to my collection. This will make another group of collectibles I own that I will be able to pass on to my children and grandchildren. To me, that's what collecting is all about...passing on the beauty and knowledge.
