blown glass, hand blown glassRecently my girlfriend and I had gone on a weekend get away and we visited the Corning Glass Museum. We were amazed at the beauty of the hand blown glass pieces that the artists were making. Watching the hot molten glass being shaped into beautiful blown glass objects was amazing and the artists made such beautiful blown glass pieces that my girlfriend wanted to purchase every single thing that we saw. We did purchase a lovely hand blown vase and it was a rather costly piece, but hand blown glass is truly a one of a kind and it was pretty cool that we actually got to watch them make the vase. 
I have been looking for something special to purchase for my girlfriend for Valentine’s Day next year. I know many of you are thinking, wow we have not even gotten through this years holiday yet and he is already thinking ahead, however I want it to be something special for her that will really make it a memorable day for her. Flowers and candy are gone before you know it so I knew I wanted something that would last especially since this is our first valentine's day together. I decided to take a look online to see if I could find a piece of blown glass that would remind her of our trip to the museum and that would make a perfect gift for her.
