Glass Vases
My mom is kind of funny. She likes to do things differently. Take for example last year at Christmas. She gave everyone glass vases. She found a site that made handcrafted glass vases and then placed a bulk order. She liked the glass vases and thought everyone else would as well. There, her Christmas shopping was done. No worries about budgeting, or finding that last minute gift.
That was in June, six months before Christmas. She had the vases sitting in boxes in her living room. Every time someone would visit she would show them the vases and asked what one they liked. When they left she would wrap that one up for them, ready for when Christmas came around. This way she knew everyone got a vase they liked. There would be no hurt feelings because someone liked what she gave someone else more that what she gave them. It was all quick and simple and no headaches. There was no last minute wrapping or worrying if someone would like their gift or not. I have to admit I did like the vases, as did everyone else.
