Blown Glass Objects Make Great Gifts in Tight Economy |

Last night I went to a birthday party and the birthday girl got the most beautiful blown glass pendant. Because times are tough, giving artisan-created blown glass jewelry is a way to celebrate a birthday without spending a lot of money, and glass jewelry is every bit as beautiful as gem jewelry and generally less expensive. Personally, I've always loved glass vases and blown glass objects because no two are alike and I find the swirls and colors endlessly fascinating. Art glass can be collectible, as well, so when the recipient got the pendant, she was very happy with it since it was designed by a famous glass artist.
In fact, I'm thinking about ordering glass jewelry or vases for my friends and family for Christmas gifts. It's truly a gift anyone can appreciate, and if space in their homes is limited, I can order something small for them, like a paperweight to set on their desk or a glass pendant that takes up virtually no room. I keep several art glass objects by my computer monitor just to keep me inspired and intrigued by their colors and shapes. |
